🌿 "Healing happens in connection—within ourselves, our communities, and our workplaces."

Hi, I’m Dr. Sara—CEO of Wellness Options LLC, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, mindfulness educator, and Assistant Professor in the Master of Social Work program at CSU Stanislaus. With over 20 years of experience in social services and over 13+ years as a mental health therapist, I’ve dedicated my life’s work to supporting the well-being and resilience of individuals, teams, and entire organizations.

Throughout my career, I’ve witnessed the heavy toll that burnout, workplace stress, and secondary trauma can have on helping professionals. These challenges deeply inspired me to create innovative, research-backed programs that don’t just respond to burnout—they prevent it. At Wellness Options LLC, we believe that when we care for the caregivers, communities thrive.

✨ Whether you’re an agency leader seeking to foster a healthier organizational culture or a professional looking for ways to reconnect to your purpose, we’re here to help. Our work is grounded in compassion, driven by research, and centered on real-world impact.

Let’s co-create a more resilient, empowered, and sustainable future—together.

🌱 “When we care for the caregivers, we transform communities from the inside out.”

Hi, I’m Yvonne—COO and proud Founder of Wellness Options LLC! With over 20 years of experience as a professor in the Master of Social Work program at CSU Stanislaus, and a background in child welfare services, my path has always centered on advocating for those who care for others.

My journey began in Child Protective Services, where I saw the incredible strength—and the emotional cost—of working in high-stress, high-impact environments. But, I’ve also seen what’s possible when individuals are supported and organizations commit to wellness. Those experiences fueled my mission: to support not just the clients, but the professionals and organizations serving them.

At Wellness Options LLC, we don’t just talk about change—we design programs that ignite it, build a culture of wellness and create meaningful change which help individuals thrive and organizations flourish.

✨ Whether you’re looking to revitalize your team, build a wellness-forward culture, or take care of your own professional well-being—we’re here to help. We believe in building workplace cultures where care and community are at the core. We’re here to walk beside you as you create space for healing, connection, and sustainable transformation.

WALL OF KINDNESS

Read What Our Clients Are Saying About Wellness Options LLC.

Here are some testimonials from individuals employed in various helping professions, including social services at the Human Services Agency, Employment and Training, Behavioral Health and Recovery Services, social workers, mental health clinicians, and management:

“I believe these trainings has been super helpful in my everyday life, work and personal! Using some of the tools in these classes has helped me stay more focused and on task, and also I have found myself being more aware of my surroundings and being more mindful of when I'm doing one on ones with clients. I'm able to be more present in the moment and stay focused on the conversation! This course has definitely helped me ! I would give it a 10!”

“When I’m with my children I’m less likely to freak out when they are doing something; overall I have become a more patient mother. I realize that they are frustrated at times too, these classes have taught me to be a better mother.”

“The entire class was valuable, the coping tools/techniques learned were useful and desired.”

“After just a few weeks of this class I have been able to really leave work at work and pay attention to home when I’m at home. I practice tools like journaling at the end of the day and meditating using my new mantra every morning which has changed my mood and attitude toward the day.”

“In general, it has really helped me to become more aware of my thoughts, feelings, and behaviors throughout the day and how they are impacting me. The tools have helped me to bring myself back into the present moment, which is the only thing I have control over. Prior to this class I would get anxious about future sessions instead of giving my full attention to the client in front of me. I no longer do that because this class taught me how to let go of what I have no control over because there is nothing I can do about it. It has improved my focus and my attention to each client I come in contact with.”

“Yes, these trainings should continue! The population is not going to decrease their need for services, it will be increasing. This requires me to be ready to serve 100% every day. However, sometimes it is very hard to stop and take care of myself because I am a social worker and I want to do my best for the clients while neglecting my own needs. The fact is there are more clients than there are clinicians. The clinicians as well as other staff need all the tools possible to make sure they stay committed and passionate about serving the clients that need us at our best. These programs are essential to building self-care techniques to keep clinicians from burning out and quitting.”

“I feel like a new culture is emerging from this training. A culture that is friendly to self-care and mindfulness practices. Employees in my unit have different art projects that they hang on the wall which is very encouraging because it shows that the people who went through the training are still practicing what they learned from the training.”

“The job I do as a clinician can become overwhelming and mentally exhausting. This class has helped me to pay attention to how my body is feeling and to really focus my attention on calming my body and thoughts with tools including deep breathing, mindful walks, muscle relaxation techniques, and refocusing my thoughts to what is right in front of me. This helps me to provide my clients with my undivided attention throughout each session. I have also been able to apply these tools within my sessions and teach clients some of the things I have learned. These tools have also helped keep me from burning out because I’m recognizing what my body is trying to tell me more than I used to.”
